Blocks and rocks

Amman is quite a stone town.

King's shoes

Exactly a year ago Jordan's King Abdullah said he would step down if he was in Assad's shoes (see video). Hopefully it never gets to that point.

King under my shoes

I found this king on the ground in Amman already early in the spring, so it can't be taken as a sign of Abdullah II's fate.

Face in Place 2

He seems sad to me. Maybe because people step on him all the time.

Big fish

Our dinner was 5kg of Iraqi style fish, Masgouf. Simple but absolutely delicious.

Landmark

This tower and coffee pan worked as a great landmark during my first confused days in Tla'a al-ali.

What on earth

You never know what you will find when walking the streets of the city.

Battle line

I interrupted a catfight but did not take sides.

Winter is here

So many days and nights of rain and snow, snow and rain, rain and rain...

Who's got mail?

At least you will recognize your old and rotten one from the line.

Crossing Medina street

The only safe way to cross the street is to go way over it.

Safe and sound

At my new home.
