FIME is moving to Beirut. As I have no pictures of the office premises, these two will have to do as a memorial: Our cute pink bathroom and my favorite way to spend my lunch break, watching a satirical Finnish animation series Pasila.

Life of riley / kissanpäivät

For my last week in Amman I was cat sitting and life was quite easygoing. In Finnish it could be described as kissanpäivät.

Garden party

There is a little community garden next to our house. The first crop was collected and the food made out of it was excellent.

Our rooftop is a perfect place to spend late summer afternoons watching the planes and trained pigeons passing over.

Here's a winter memory from the time my little room was freezing. Now, in the summer, I know why it's called the sunroom.

Zeituna House

In Damascus, FIME is located in the Old City in a beautiful Damascene house from the late Ottoman period (1850s).

I got some complaints that there's no pictures of the little room/balcony(/erkkeri in Finnish) I call home. So here you go.

But I know that at his new home he is being well taken care of.

These eggs are free-range & happy chickens -guaranteed. Maybe we should also get a cow..

Arabian nights

Amman is even more beautiful by night. Especially from the rooftop of my home. Gotta love it.

Cats in squares

I think it's obvious from my pics that there are heaps of cats in Amman. And we get along quite well.

The best place to have breakfast in Amman is the sunny rooftop terrace of my new home.

I bought a blender on the first day, but instead of Bialetti coffee maker I've been settling for instant coffee.
