Rainy and grey

This looks a lot like Finnish fall, but actually pics are taken from the window of Baalbek-Beirut -minibus coming down from the mountains last spring.

Reflections

The view from this bar above Amman is amazing, but it's almost better reflected (and you all know how I love reflections).

Aqaba by night

This time we stayed in a tiny hotel room in Aqaba City. The view at night was very different from South Beach.

Black swans on the wall

I can't get rid of the thought that they are swans. But I guess they're something else.

Sensing the North

Finnish Design and other things Nordic at Ras al-Ain Gallery. The exhibition is part of Connecting Cultures -festival.

Red lights

In some ways Books@cafe is a little overrated, but I really like their interior design - especially the lamps.

Stay safe Syria

Part of my heart is in Damascus. More pictures coming soon.

Let the sunshine in

I got some complaints that there's no pictures of the little room/balcony(/erkkeri in Finnish) I call home. So here you go.

Carnivore airlines

We flew from DXB to Amman, me and a plane full of meat. Don't ask why.

Downtown shoe sellers

I would choose his little store over the neighbouring snakelady's. Not that I could afford anything from either of them.

Window shopping for all

Nowadays the ancient city of Byblos serves the needs of the Maronite community as well as those of the tourists.

Vernal equinox

Spring is coming. Soon!

Eastern lights

This restaurant has bad food but an amazing view.

Safe and sound

At my new home.

It's not the journey that counts

But just because it was 20+ hours, mostly waiting on the ground. And they lost my luggage.
